speed skating ice from? So I did the speed skating for five years now, but I miss him and ready to go to speed skating on ice. And I have some questions:
Are there youth clubs skating / classes in or near Atlanta, GA?
What kind of equipment do I need to skate?
Unfortunately, there really is no speed skating in Georgia, despite Atlanta being such a great city. But you can get involved by renting time from a local rink or taking over basic skating until you go to college or move or whatever.
For short-track
Equipment needed includes the following items: helmet (bike helmet can be used), long sleeves and pants (jogging), neck guard (like a hockey neck protector that covers the neck and upper shoulder, cut proof), gloves (cut proof), shin guards (those soccer can work), skates (speed skates), knee
amenities include: elbow pads, goggles, further skin
For years, the monitoring-
Required gear roller (clapskate many use), long sleeves and pants, gloves, helmet, knee
-Eye protection suggested, elbow pads for beginners, continuation of the skin
good luck:)
well im not a speed skater, im a skater, but I do know that some speed skaters
you'll need speed skates of course!
I'm sorry but I do not think there pissed skating in Georgia, which im surprised! Atlanta is great, they have ice skating in my town (but not online!) And its small and in the south, but no where near Atlanta: (
I bet you could teach your self speed skating, as you do on roller skates, its basiclly the same thing and a lot of speed skaters on ice probly do speed skating roller blades too
if you have time, you can organize your own ice skating class / club and invite people rollerblading, because I bet there are other people who would like to speed skating ice too
