garbage? I do not know about anyone else, but I'm therefore confused with this thing all three recycling bin! I understand that the grass is green and a large bottles, cans and boxes to go into a little green, but what else. I'm doing something wrong because I have a huge amount of waste.
The other week, the bin man says he can not empty my big green bin because it had cardboard in. .. What then for it. What grass??? what is the winter!
In my region of South staffs, we have a green bin for garden and vegetable waste, including timber size less than half an inch thick. A green bin for aluminum cans, tin cans, plastic bottles, etc.
A white bag for cardboard, paper, junk mail etc., and a black bin for household waste.
The bin men come, a week, they take the box, bag and empty the green bin the other week, they emptied the black bin. Absolutely no problems and our board has exceeded the target for recycling Govts. I heard a lot of moaning, but really it is just common sense.

I think it's different in different areas. We have two tanks, one with a gray lid for garbage and the other with a blue lid for recyclables. In the basket we put cardboard, paper, glass and some plastics. Our garden is the size paper bag at the moment but we will soon I think green bins only for compostable garden size.
I live in Australia and we have three different trays. Red, if for the regular garbage (you can put anything in it), green for leaves, grass, etc. and yellow is for recycling paper, cardboard and plastics.
