What to Expect:
Ha Giang (Quang Ba) This is a trek that supports sustainable local communities in a private region in the northern province of Ha Giang extremes.
Quan Ba district remains one of the poorest districts in Vietnam. It is located in the limestone bedrock remote mountainous region of Ha Giang, the northernmost province of Vietnam. 97% of local people are members of minorities - the Hmong, Dao, Tay, Nung, Giay and Bo Y. Most speak their own language, which have not yet written scenarios.
Caritas Switzerland and Caritas Luxembourg are two charities that have signed a development partnership with the people of the district commission. Caritas agencies aim to support a development process "to build sustainable livelihoods for the poorest people and poorest communities." The project began in mid-2003, and included support sustainable agriculture, gardens, forests, adult literacy domestic water supply, indigenous cultures, improved cook stoves, and responsible tourism.
The villagers have prepared a simple code of conduct "that Green Trail Tours should consider before their visit to demonstrate their commitment to protecting the local culture and environment. By participating in this trip a Green Trail Tours will be directly supporting livelihoods of the communities they visit.
Bac Ha this exciting trek offers a genuine experience of the virgin remote villages in the border province of Lao Cai. The spectacular scenery, picturesque villages nestled in the side of Thang Phin Mountain, and colorful ethnic minority groups can captivate the heart of every lover of adventure. Start Lao Cai and trek along the Chinese border through the valley of Muong Khuong remote H'mong, Tay and Nung ethnic minority villages. Ascend in Can Cau and Bac Ha to observe colorful Saturday and Sunday markets, the most dynamic in the province, where hundreds of hill tribe people from different groups meet to exchange goods. End of a difficult trek with a boat ride on the picturesque River Chay.

All guides are trained in basic first aid and carry a small first aid kit. But every customer should also bring personal first aid supplies including antiseptic wipes, antiseptic liquid / cream, steristrips, sterile gauze and a bandage, and oral rehydration packets.
What time?
The climate is hot and humid throughout with some variation between the North and South. The South is tropical and warm throughout the year. Hanoi is cooler from November to February, with a pronounced wet season in the center of the country from September to October. For biking, September, October, November, March, April and May are the best moments? not so hot and dry enough! Be prepared.
