Shoe Widths Explained

Shoe Widths ExplainedCan someone explain to me width sizes (USA)?

I need to start a larger width, but I forgot that represent various widths. I tried to buy Fingerhut, but when I asked the width of the options he did not know what I was talking about. Is this guy more stupid than me or what? I checked the Rockies (boot) site and found that I was looking boot comes in medium and large. I recalled the same guy, gave him the options and he did not know what I was talking about! My queston is ... What is A, B, C, D, EE, etc. represent?

A = the narrowest
D = is often regarded as an average for the start of a man
E, EE, EEE, EEEE, M (and) represent the largest

Unfortunately, the modern world is full of retail employees who are not trained to help, and often do not proceed independently of the details of their industry. The short answer is yes, ignoring the same type of information that would help make the sale. Normally I would say that was a reason to abandon the absolute best company receiving the money (to me), but we did not rely on store clerks disinterested or lazy to get the information that one seeks. Although there are variations, there is a rhyme and reason for design of the shoe.

Back (in the stone age) when one company provided sales staff to help the customer (rather than just our money scarf) with a Brannock device was readily available. The website explains how we measure the Brannock foot sizes, one for U.S. and offers editing tips: http://www.brannock.com/
If you can recognize the tool, the next time you see one (or request), reading the mail, you can pop and accurately measure your feet. [Fun story: "The Brannock device" http://www.brannock.com/history.html ]
