Scandinavian Slippers

Scandinavian SlippersWhy are Scandinavians have much resistance to cold than the Mediterranean? Can you build? (Funny)?

I have friends in Scandinavia and they always go in t-shirts and shorts and slippers in 10 degree Celsius, and I freeze in two sweaters on me! How come they are more resistant and tolerant to cold? I kind of understand because they live in a cold if they are used for ...

But here's the deal: They are not only resistant to cold sensation, but they do not dry your hair with hair dryer ever! In fact, they shower and immediately go outside at 10 degree Celsius! How can they do that? If I wash my hair and leave the 20 degree I'm cold right away! And when I ask them "Whaaat?" You do not have dry hair with hair dryer at all? " they say "Oh No gay! just do that!"

My question is: Is it possible for a Mediterranean to strengthen this form of resistance? If you take a cold shower? Nightlife scantily clad? I want to go over 10 degrees and feel nothing (and not catch cold), too!

Because we are Vikings, he he. And our boys always say that things are gays when they think something is not tough enough. They are male, at least try to be, and that's good. But I wish could be more like the Mediterranean when it comes to expressing feelings, especially toward girls. I hope you teach them that.

You can develop resistance to it, but there is nothing you can actively do - it just happens over time of living in a cold provider. But I would bet that the Scandinavians have a higher percentage of body fat that helps keep them warm.
I know for certain that the Eskimos have a higher percentage of body fat. I think I remember something about another group (can not remember who) have extra blood vessels in their extremities, which of course increases the blood circulation and keeps them warm.

It's about what you use to be. I'm from Reno and when I was in Mazatlan, Mexico around Christmas everyone wore coats and gloves in 80 degrees below I was in a t-shirt and shorts and was fine. After about six months ago I came home and even when the temperature was 75 or more was cold and needed a coat. I read that it only takes one week or become conditioned to the heat, but much more time to get used to cold weather. Just one question or the climate and time.
