Is inline become a thing of the past? Recently, a roller rink increasingly closed. A skating rink has been open for about 20 years in New Jersey, closed because of violence. Several others in New York and across the country have also closed. Will lead to a FAZE roller skating age?
Rinks have been arrested since the 1980s, that development is not recent.
Rollerskating (quad) back BIG TIME because of the popularity of roller derby. There are currently about 300 roller derby leagues in the United States, with more than 70 others around the world.
The sport is likely to get another big boost this summer with Drew Barrymore "Whip It" (starring Ellen Page) is released.
The rink closure NJ had nothing to do with skating. Rink closed because of the land and the owners to sell, the Skate Key, The Roxy, The Empire while NY NY. Movies whip, ATL, Roll Bounce, jam, Rollerball. Report Abuse
I noticed that roller skating has been closing lately too, but I do not think it's because skating has become a thing of the past. there are other avenues could be reasons for closure, as terrible economy and people can still skates but just do not go to the rink where they could go into the street. There are also sports like roller derby make a comeback and is becoming all ages, too. skate it be part of organized sports as well.
