How can you do moccasin slippers waterproof inside? I just received a pair of house slippers cheap loafers from the store, they are super comfortable, but I do not think they will be very good once they start getting wet. How can I water proof them when they get wet feet and my socks do not get wet and cold?
I will assume that these suede moccasins are a deer or like material, so that limits your options, but not completely. There is a product called oil of mink. It is a type of natural treatment cream for smooth leather, and is beautifully packaged in waterproof leather and even. I would like to work with mink oil into the seam (so if they are colored, you should know that it will darken the leather), and then I use a spray sealer a day or two later, the rest of footwear. These sprays work well, but it is hard to get worked into the seam, which is where they need the seal more ... Thus, the first mink oil. Good luck.
