Long John Silver for President The country and the world are in crisis. Markets are melting snow cones as in sub-Saharan desert. Unfortunately, none of the presidential candidates has a plan to guide the economy out of this crisis. I submit that there is only one person can effect change that is necessary for the United States and the world of their collective keesters.
It's time for leadership.
It is a time of change.
We need someone with vision, someone who has been tested time and again and - although it may be hard to believe - someone with fewer scruples, even the current candidates.
Long John Silver for president!
I suppose the biggest objection to voting for LJS maybe he is a fictional character. We live in an era where we have overcome so many prejudices. Race, religion, sex and shooting moose from helicopters are no longer barriers to elected office. Is it not time that we as a people put aside another prejudice, the requirement that our president is a real person?
Many people have voted for Mickey Mouse as president, believing that it was the best choice of candidates, and although the rights of Mickey may have been (in light of our recent presidents) an informed choice, we must face the fact that Mickey is a loser. The mouse has never made more than a fraction of the presidential election. This country does not need a president who grinds the voice now, let alone one that clearly has skeletons in his closet. (Has anyone seen Minnie lately? It is the Betty Ford Clinic, what must we do with Pluto, Mickey go at all hours? What Mickey's penchant for picking advisors like Goofy? Has Mickey ever "reached across the aisle" and embraced the Warner Brothers characters like Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck?)
I know that many voters may never be able to vote for a fictional character, but people let's face it, we do whenever we get a handle or a hole in the ballot box. John McCain and Barack Obama are figments of their imagination pollsters.
Take a look at Obama (or "Barry" as he was known for much of his life): no connection, no foreign policy experience, no domestic policy experience, no vote while in the Senate, no chance he will be able to adopt any of his proposed policies because this country has no money. Watch him walk across the stage, so cool, so detached and so unreal. It is all image, his pants hurt his press coverage soft. It is the Mother Teresa of politics, here to embrace all, feed all and provide tax relief to all except those who are not true believers (the rich, according to Democratic gospel n ' have absolutely no need to be rich in these tough times and businesses that have nothing to do business when the government can do what companies can do - but better).
Does anyone believe that Barack Obama is real? Is a test - a foolproof test. Type "Barack Obama" in a Word document and it appears as a misspelling. Now Long John Silver's in a Word document: no error. Microsoft, as we all know, is infallible. I submit that Long John Silver, and not what we call Barack Obama is the most authentic character.
Now, give a look at John McCain. He is a hero, Captain America riding the Straight Talk Express across the plains and prairies and into our living rooms, spouting truth and justice and all that is going to be elected president. Do you want your government to buy mortgages and void a few hundreds of years of contract law? Would you five hundred dollars in your pocket right now, only some of which you will finance by taxing health care plan? How about a government regulation with fries?
McCain is a maverick, though o. self-proclaimed
